Tiendanube, a leading e-commerce platform in Latin America, has launched a new suite of proprietary products designed to transform how small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) operate online, particularly in Mexico. The rollout includes four integrated solutions: Pago Nube, Envío Nube, Marketing Nube, and Chat Nube, alongside a US$17.5 million investment plan to expand the company’s regional impact. “These four new products were developed in-house to simplify operations for our merchants,” said Luis Gómez, Director of the SME Segment, Tiendanube Mexico. “Our mission is to eliminate barriers to entrepreneurship, whether cost, technology, or operational complexity, so they can compete with multinationals.” Operating across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia, Tiendanube supports over 170,000 brands, which have collectively generated more than US$2 billion in online sales through its platform. In Mexico, the company ended the first half of 2025 with over 8,000 active stores and a 57% increase in merchant sales compared to the same period last year. It also reported a 10% increase in average ticket value, reaching MX$1,772, up from MX$1,600 in 2024. The new product suite, fully integrated into the Tiendanube admin panel, targets key e-commerce challenges such as payments, logistics, email marketing, and customer service. “For many of our clients, managing cash flow within the same platform is crucial. Lower fees and built-in payment tools make this a smart business move,” Gómez said. Pago Nube, which offers lower transaction fees than providers like Mercado Pago or PayPal, is backed by a US$5.5 million investment over two years. It supports various payment methods, including debit, credit, OXXO cash payments, and bank transfers. The company also plans to introduce credit lines for merchants. Envío Nube is a logistics solution integrated with major carriers such as DHL, Estafeta, and FedEx, enabling merchants to centralize shipping operations. The tool aims to reduce delivery friction and offer same-day or next-day delivery options, supported by a US$2 million investment in Mexico. “Logistics is one of the main pain points in B2C commerce. This solution simplifies shipping and reduces costs for small businesses,” Gómez noted. Marketing Nube, an email marketing automation tool, will soon be available across the region. It enables merchants to run both reactive campaigns (e.g., abandoned cart emails) and scheduled promotions. “Stores using this tool have seen an average sales uplift of over 20%. One client increased sales by 39%, with 28% driven by automated messages,” Gómez said. Chat Nube is an AI-powered conversational commerce tool integrated with WhatsApp. It delivers automated yet customizable customer support, allowing merchants to set the tone, length, and type of responses to match their brand voice. “It is an intelligent, brand-aware assistant that personalizes communication while keeping sensitive data secure,” Gómez explained. Tiendanube reports that 77% of companies in Latin America already use AI in some capacity. With Chat Nube, the company aims to help merchants strengthen customer loyalty, improve service, and reduce support costs. “We are embedding financial and operational tools directly into the platform, so our merchants can grow without ever having to leave the ecosystem,” Gómez concluded. © 2025 Mexicobusiness.News.
